7th - 9th & 17th - 21st November 2015

The images in this gallery where taken from our ship the Polar Pioneer while sailing between the Falkland Islands and South Georgia and return journey. Also included are images taken at sea off the South Georgia coast. On the first legg most of the daylight hours were spent on deck photographing the seabirds as the sea was comparatively calm. On the return journey the sea was rather more 'bumpy' and shorter periods were spent on deck, although there was still plenty to see photography was not so easy and moving around more difficult.  The enclosed images give a good taste of this marvellous experience.
