The butterflies gallery, comprises mainly of images taken in Vestfold and Buskerud regions (now Vestfold & Telemark and Viken) in southern Norway, but also from travels around the world. These are sorted taxonomically rather than country of origin and are all taken spontaneously in the field with no pre-caught manipulated insects.

Each image contains information where and when this was taken, although exact locations are mostly excluded.  

Where they exist, Norwegian species names are also included to help as a local language identification key.
